(A) The council shall be a South Carolina nonprofit corporation in good standing and shall operate in accordance with the laws governing corporations in the State of South Carolina.
(B) The council may adopt rules and certification standards to carry out its functions under this chapter.
Terms Used In South Carolina Code 23-50-20
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Council: means the South Carolina Crimestoppers Council. See South Carolina Code 23-50-15
(C) The council shall send a report to the Attorney General not later than April fifteenth of each year that shall, at a minimum, report on the activities carried out by the council in carrying out its duties as set forth in § 23-50-25.
