Terms Used In South Carolina Code 34-29-220
- Person: shall mean an individual, partnership, association, corporation and all other legal and commercial entities. See South Carolina Code 34-29-10
No loan made outside this State in the amount of or of the value of seventy-five hundred dollars or less for which a greater rate of interest, consideration, or charge than is permitted by § 34-29-140 has been charged, contracted for or received, shall be enforced in this State and every person in any way participating therein in this State shall be subject to the provisions of this chapter, but this section shall not apply to loans legally made in any state under and in accordance with a regulatory consumer finance law similar in principles to this chapter.
