Terms Used In South Carolina Code 38-49-40
- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- Person: means a corporation, agency, partnership, association, voluntary organization, individual, or another entity, organization, or aggregation of individuals. See South Carolina Code 38-1-20
Any person who violates this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and must, upon conviction, be fined an amount not to exceed five hundred dollars or imprisoned for a period not to exceed one year, or both.
