- Person: means an individual human being, firm, partnership, or corporation. See South Carolina Code 40-22-20
If a provision of this chapter or the application of a provision to a person or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of this chapter which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this chapter are severable as provided in § 40-1-220.
