Terms Used In South Carolina Code 40-75-120
- Board: means the South Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Addictions Counselors, and Psycho-Educational Specialists. See South Carolina Code 40-75-20
- Licensee: means an individual who has met the requirements for licensure under this article and has been issued a license to practice as a professional counselor or professional counselor associate, marriage and family therapist or marriage and family therapy associate, or addiction counselor associate. See South Carolina Code 40-75-20
Upon a determination by the board that one or more of the grounds for discipline of a licensee exists, as provided for in § 40-75-110 or 40-1-110, the board may impose sanctions as provided in § 40-1-120, including imposing a fine of not more than one thousand dollars for each violation.
