Terms Used In South Carolina Code 43-7-260

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
Should any person be aggrieved by the order, he may appeal as in other cases brought in the court of common pleas, but such appeal shall not stay the order issued.
