Terms Used In South Carolina Code 44-77-120
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Person: means an individual, partnership, committee, association, corporation, hospital, or other organization or group. See South Carolina Code 44-77-20
No person may be required to sign a declaration in accordance with §§ 44-77-40 and 44-77-50 as a condition for becoming insured under any insurance contract or for receiving any medical treatment or as a condition of being admitted to a hospital or nursing home facility.
