The State shall cooperate with the federal government in paying indemnity for cattle owned in this State known to be infected with brucellosis as a result of a test made by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, United States Department of Agriculture, or by a graduate veterinarian licensed by the State Board of Veterinary Examiners of the State and the commission cooperating, in accordance with regulations prescribed by the service and the commission, and whose owners agree to cooperate with the federal government and the State in the control and eradication of the disease. Payments on the part of this State must be made in accordance with the amounts and procedures prescribed in § 47-13-360.
