The department shall initiate a stakeholder group on June 1, 2026, and provide a report on its findings to the Chairman of the House Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs Committee and the Chairman of the Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee by January 15, 2027. The stakeholder process shall explore opportunities to advance market-based solutions for the recycling of electronics, operational and financial impacts on local governments and manufacturers, alternatives to § 48-60-90, and other concerns or recommendations identified by stakeholders and the department.
