Terms Used In South Carolina Code 56-21-110
- Bail: Security given for the release of a criminal defendant or witness from legal custody (usually in the form of money) to secure his/her appearance on the day and time appointed.
- Dependent: A person dependent for support upon another.
All fines and bail forfeitures collected under the provisions of §§ 56-21-70 to 56-21-100 shall be credited to the general fund of the State Hospital or Midlands Center, dependent upon where the violation occurred. All fines and bail forfeitures resulting from the enforcement of §§ 56-21-70 to 56-21-100 shall be forthwith forwarded by the city recorder or magistrate to the State Hospital or Midlands Center to be credited to their respective general funds.
