- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
Whenever any person whose proof has been cancelled or returned under item (3) of § 56-9-620 applies for a license or registration within a period of three years from the date proof was originally required, this application shall be refused unless the applicant shall re-establish the proof for the remainder of the three year period.
