- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
Unless waived as provided in § 58-15-2120, the provisions of §§ 58-15-2110 to 58-15-2130 shall not affect or in anywise relieve any railroad company or operator of any penalties incurred under §§ 58-15-2110 to 58-15-2130 or former §§ 58-15-2110 to 58-15-2130. The provisions of § 58-17-1360 are not intended to be nor are they repealed or affected by amendment of §§ 58-15-2110 to 58-15-2130.
