- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
The county board may, but shall not be required to, condition the issuance of general obligation bonds upon the results of a special election held in the special purpose district; and such election, if so ordered, shall be conducted in the manner and under the procedure applicable to the issuance of general obligation bonds of the counties of the State by the provisions of Chapter 15 of Title 4.
