(1) Bonds, notes or other evidences of indebtedness issued pursuant to § 6-13-640(22) and interest payable thereon are hereby exempted from any and all State, county, municipal and other taxation whatsoever under the laws of this State, and it shall be plainly stated on the face of each such obligation as follows:

"The principal of and interest on this (bond, note, or other evidence of indebtedness) are exempted from any and all State, county, municipal and other taxation whatsoever under the laws of the State of South Carolina."
