- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
Any municipality in the State may construct, acquire, own, equip, operate, maintain, enlarge, extend or increase any of the works described in § 6-21-50, together with all appurtenances necessary, useful or convenient for the maintenance and operation of such works, and may acquire by gift, grant, purchase, condemnation or otherwise all necessary land, rights, easements, franchises or other property therefor within or without the limits of such municipality in the county in which it is situate or in any adjoining county or counties. Title to property shall be taken in the name of the municipality.
