Notwithstanding Sections 2-17-90(C) and 8-13-710, the reporting requirement of § 8-13-1120(A)(9) does not apply to an event to which a member of the General Assembly is invited by a lobbyist’s principal, regardless of whether or not the member attended the event, if the invitation was extended to the entire membership of the House, Senate, or General Assembly, and the invitation was accepted by the House or Senate Invitations Committee pursuant to House or Senate rules.
