Remedies against any nuisance are:
(1) A civil action;

- Indictment: The formal charge issued by a grand jury stating that there is enough evidence that the defendant committed the crime to justify having a trial; it is used primarily for felonies.
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
(2) Abatement; and
(3) In cases of public nuisance only, the additional remedy of indictment or information as prescribed by statute and rules relating thereto.
