In the case of a criminal proceeding, requests to access a person‘s DNA record shall be in accordance with the rules for criminal discovery under Title 23A.

- Discovery: Lawyers' examination, before trial, of facts and documents in possession of the opponents to help the lawyers prepare for trial.
