Any license issued by the Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners shall expire on the first day of July of the first year following its issuance. A license may be renewed every year upon the payment of a fee set by the board, by rule promulgated pursuant to chapter 1-26. The fee may not exceed fifty dollars.
