As used in this chapter, the word, trustee, means any natural or legal person or persons acting as an original, substitute, added, or successor trustee of a testamentary or inter vivos trust, whichever in a particular case is appropriate.
Terms Used In South Dakota Codified Laws 55-1A-2
- Inter vivos: Transfer of property from one living person to another living person.
- Person: includes natural persons, partnerships, associations, cooperative corporations, limited liability companies, and corporations. See South Dakota Codified Laws 2-14-2
- Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
