The nonprofit medical and surgical service plan corporation shall provide notice to subscribers regarding the coverage required by § 58-38-37 in accordance with rules adopted by the director of the Division of Insurance pursuant to chapter 1-26. The notice shall be in writing and prominently positioned in any literature or correspondence. The notice shall be transmitted to subscribers in the next mailing to subscribers, in the yearly informational packet sent to subscribers, or by January 1, 1997, whichever is earliest.
