Any ordinance, resolution, contract, obligation, right, or liability of the municipality shall continue in force and effect the same as though no change of government has occurred.
Terms Used In South Dakota Codified Laws 9-11-10
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- ordinance: as used in this title shall mean a permanent legislative act of the governing body of a municipality within the limits of its powers. See South Dakota Codified Laws 9-19-1
