- Aeronautics: means :
(A) The science and art of flight, including, but not limited to, transportation by aircraft. See Tennessee Code 42-2-101 - Department: means the department of transportation. See Tennessee Code 42-2-101
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
The department is authorized to spend funds that may be available for the purpose of furthering aeronautics generally in the state of Tennessee.
