- Agriculture: means :
(i) The land, buildings and machinery used in the commercial production of farm products and nursery stock. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105 - State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. The commissioner of agriculture shall employ at least one (1) agricultural marketing specialist whose primary duty shall be the provision and coordination of such technical assistance, support, and encouragement as may be needed to promote and enhance development of Tennessee’s equine industry. The commissioner shall collect, publish, and distribute statistics relating to equine production and marketing activities and opportunities within the state. The commissioner shall provide such other informational services as may be needed to notify the state’s equine industry concerning the financial, managerial, marketing, regulatory, and administrative aspects of the horse industry in Tennessee and in other states.
