(a) The Tennessee agricultural hall of fame is placed under the general supervision of a board consisting of nine (9) members composed of the following:

Terms Used In Tennessee Code 43-1-602

  • Agriculture: means :
    (i) The land, buildings and machinery used in the commercial production of farm products and nursery stock. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
(1) Commissioner of agriculture;
(2) Dean of the college of agricultural sciences and natural resources of the University of Tennessee;
(3) Dean of the University of Tennessee extension;
(4) President of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation;
(5) State master of the Grange;
(6) State supervisor of vocational agriculture; and
(7) Three (3) members to be appointed by the governor.
(b) All members shall serve without compensation.
