The commissioner shall:

- Agriculture: means :
(i) The land, buildings and machinery used in the commercial production of farm products and nursery stock. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105 - Commercial weighing and measuring equipment: means weights and measures and weighing and measuring devices commercially used or employed in establishing the size, quantity, extent, area, or measurement of quantities, things, produce, or articles for distribution or consumption, purchased, offered, or submitted for sale, hire, or award, or in computing any basic charge or payment for services rendered on the basis of weight or measure. - Department: means the Tennessee department of agriculture. See Tennessee Code 47-26-902
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Person: means both plural and the singular, as the case demands, and includes individuals, partnerships, corporations, companies, societies, and associations. See Tennessee Code 47-26-902
- Representative: when applied to those who represent a decedent, includes executors and administrators, unless the context implies heirs and distributees. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
- State: means state of Tennessee. See Tennessee Code 47-26-902
- weight: means net drained weight. See Tennessee Code 47-26-902
