Terms Used In Tennessee Code 48-101-630
- Interest: means either or both of the following rights under the organic law of an unincorporated entity:
(A) The right to receive distributions from the entity either in the ordinary course or upon liquidation. See Tennessee Code 48-11-201 - Licensing authority: means the officer, board, agency, court or other authority in this state empowered to license or otherwise authorize the rendition of a professional service. See Tennessee Code 48-101-603
Each licensing authority is empowered to promulgate rules expressly authorized by this part if the rules are consistent with the public interest or required by the public health or welfare or by generally recognized standards of professional conduct.
