Terms Used In Tennessee Code 49-2-704
- Department: means the department of education. See Tennessee Code 49-2-702
- High performing school district: means any LEA in the state that satisfies a majority of the following criteria, if applicable to that LEA, according to the state report card:
(A) Reaches a graduation rate of ninety percent (90%) or higher. See Tennessee Code 49-2-702 - State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
