Terms Used In Tennessee Code 62-36-108
- Department: means the department of commerce and insurance. See Tennessee Code 62-36-103
- Geologist: means a person qualified by education and practical experience to engage in the practice of geology. See Tennessee Code 62-36-103
- Transcript: A written, word-for-word record of what was said, either in a proceeding such as a trial or during some other conversation, as in a transcript of a hearing or oral deposition.
An application for licensure as a geologist shall indicate the applicant’s education and provide a detailed summary of geologic work. The application shall be accompanied by an application fee fixed by the department and shall include a certified transcript.
