Terms Used In Tennessee Code 69-6-128
- Board: means the board of directors of a watershed district. See Tennessee Code 69-6-102
- District: means a watershed district for which organization is proposed or which has been granted under this chapter. See Tennessee Code 69-6-102
- Lands: includes lands, tenements and hereditaments, and all rights thereto and interests therein, equitable as well as legal. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
Watershed districts may be merged or consolidated by the unanimous vote of the board of directors of such districts, concurred in by a majority of the voters of each district in an election conducted as provided in §§ 69-6-106 – 69-6-110. Such resolutions shall be recorded in the register’s office in every county having lands within such merged or consolidated district.
