Terms Used In Tennessee Code > Title 66 > Chapter 29 > Part 2 - Abandoned Cultural Property Act
- Abandoned cultural property: means cultural property meeting the following three (3) conditions:
(A) The property shall have been deposited with a museum, historical society, or similar not-for-profit institution for a period of at least twenty (20) years. See Tennessee Code 66-29-202 - Cultural property: means any work of art, regardless of the medium. See Tennessee Code 66-29-202
- Museum: means those museums and art galleries owned or operated by the state or any political subdivision of the state, and those museums, historical societies, and art galleries owned and operated by not-for-profit corporations. See Tennessee Code 66-29-202
- Person: includes a corporation, firm, company or association. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
- Property: includes both personal and real property. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
