Terms Used In Michigan Laws 12.291
- Authority: means the Michigan finance authority created by Executive Reorganization Order No. See Michigan Laws 12.272
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- Operating expenses: means the reasonable operating expenses of the authority under this act, including without limitation the cost of preparation of accounting and other reports; costs of maintaining the ratings on the bonds; bond insurance premiums; costs of authority meetings or other required activities of the authority under this act; counsel fees, including the fees of the attorney general; fees and expenses incurred for consultants, advisors, and fiduciaries relating to bonds or activities of the authority authorized by this act; and any other costs arising from activities authorized in section 8(2). - state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. (1) Notwithstanding any existing provision of law and in addition to any other appropriations provided by law, $1,000,000.00 is appropriated from the general fund to the authority for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2012 for all of the following purposes:
(a) Payment of operating expenses of the authority.
(b) Funding any reserve requirements.
(2) Money appropriated under this section that is not expended before the end of the state fiscal year ending September 30, 2012 shall not revert to the general fund, and the authority may retain and use it for the purposes authorized by subsection (1).
