- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The state board of alcoholism created under section 47a of Act No. 8 of the Public Acts of the Extra Session of 1933, as amended, being section 436.47a of the Compiled Laws of 1948, is transferred by a type II transfer to the department of public health.
