- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. A member of the board of state canvassers is entitled to actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of his or her official duties. A member of the board of state canvassers shall receive $75.00 for each day’s actual physical attendance at a meeting of the board of state canvassers. A member of the board of state canvassers shall not receive any other compensation for the performance of those duties.
