Terms Used In Michigan Laws 211.92
- month: means a calendar month; the word "year" a calendar year; and the word "year" alone shall be equivalent to the words "year of our Lord". See Michigan Laws 8.3j
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The commissioner of the state land office shall, during the month of January in each year, furnish to the several county treasurers a list of all part paid state lands, and also of all licensed homestead lands that have been licensed for a term of 5 years and over, and upon which patents have not been issued, together with the date of each license and the name of the licensee, in their counties respectively, and such treasurer shall, on or before the tenth day of February next thereafter, cause to be delivered to the supervisor of each township affected thereby an accurate description of all such lands in his township, with the names of the persons holding the same.
