There is hereby created the Michigan state safety commission, hereinafter called the commission, which shall be composed of the following officials ex officio: The governor, who shall be honorary chairperson, the secretary of state, the superintendent of public instruction, the director of the state transportation department, the director of the department of state police, and the director of public health. The members of the commission shall receive no additional compensation for service on the commission. The commission shall not have any authority, power, or duties now vested in any other department or departments of state government.
