- Department: means the department of agriculture. See Michigan Laws 447.202
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The Michigan farm export loan program is created and shall be administered by the department for the purpose of enhancing and promoting the export sale of agricultural commodities and products of the state by making it possible for buyers to purchase on credit terms.
