  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
     That any town, county or district agricultural or horticultural society heretofore organized under any general law of this state may reorganize under the act approved February twelfth, 1855, entitled “An act to authorize the formation of county and town agricultural societies,” so as to become subject to the provisions of said act, and the several acts amendatory thereof, whenever the officers and directors of any such town, county or district agricultural or horticultural society shall make, sign, acknowledge and file duplicate articles of association as provided in said act and the several acts amendatory thereof.
