Terms Used In Michigan Laws 453.91

  • annual meeting: when applied to townships, mean the annual meeting required by law to be held on the Saturday immediately preceding the first Monday in April. See Michigan Laws 8.3d
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
     That the executive committee of the state agricultural society shall have the power, by a majority vote of all the members of said committee at any annual meeting or at any special meeting thereof, called for that purpose, to permanently locate the place of holding the annual fairs of said society, and when a permanent location is selected it shall not be changed except by a 2/3 majority of all the members of said committee.
