Terms Used In Michigan Laws 487.3222
- Bank: means a state banking corporation organized or reorganized under the provisions of the banking code of 1999, 1999 PA 276, MCL 487. See Michigan Laws 487.3102
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of the office of financial and insurance services. See Michigan Laws 487.3102
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The commissioner may apply to the circuit court of the county in which the home office of the savings bank is located, or in the circuit court for Ingham county, for the enforcement of an effective and outstanding notice or order issued under section 215 to 225, including any temporary cease and desist order issued under section 216(1), and the court shall have jurisdiction to order and require compliance with the notice or order. Except as otherwise provided in this act, a court shall not have jurisdiction to review, modify, suspend, terminate, or set aside a notice or order under this section.
