(1) A funds transfer facility shall provide reliable service to the person with protection of privacy of personal financial information.
(2) A funds transfer facility shall not impair the safety and soundness of a person’s funds.

- person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. (3) Persons subject to this act shall act and conduct their affairs in a manner which complies with the antitrust laws of this state or the United States to assure a free and open competitive economy in this state.
