- Court: means an entity authorized under the law of a state to establish, enforce, or modify a child-custody determination. See Michigan Laws 722.1102
In applying and construing this uniform act, the court shall give consideration to the need to promote uniformity of the law with respect to its subject matter among states that enact it.
