(1) A writing prepared, owned, used, in the possession of, or retained by the commission in the performance of an official function shall be made available to the public in compliance with the freedom of information act, Act No. 442 of the Public Acts of 1976, being section 15.231 to 15.246 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.
(2) This section shall take effect February 25, 1993.
Terms Used In Michigan Laws 752.1026
- Commission: means the Michigan commission on death and dying created in section 3. See Michigan Laws 752.1022
- Freedom of Information Act: A federal law that mandates that all the records created and kept by federal agencies in the executive branch of government must be open for public inspection and copying.
