- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The attorney general may deputize any person regularly employed by another state for such purposes to act as an officer and agent of this state in effecting the return of any person who has violated the terms and conditions of parole as imposed by this state. In any matter relating to the return of such a person, any agent so deputized shall have all the powers of a police officer of this state for the purpose of effecting the transfer and limited to the time required to effect it.
