(a) A person who violates § 122.356 is liable to this state for a civil penalty in an amount not to exceed $500 for each violation.
(b) The attorney general or any district or county attorney may bring an action to recover the civil penalty.

- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
(c) A civil penalty collected under this section must be deposited in the hemp transportation account under § 122.355.
