(a) A person who intentionally or knowingly issues an official certificate of weight or measure of a commodity without first obtaining a certificate of authority under § 13.255, who issues an official certificate of weight or measure of a commodity after revocation of the person’s certificate of authority, or who issues an official certificate of weight or measure of a commodity without executing a bond as required under § 13.256 commits an offense.
(b) An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor.
