Terms Used In Texas Agriculture Code 2.001

  • Livestock: means cattle, horses, mules, asses, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, exotic livestock, including elk and elk hybrids, and hogs, unless otherwise defined. See Texas Agriculture Code 1.003

In this chapter, “agriculture” means:
(1) the cultivation of the soil to produce crops;
(2) horticulture, floriculture, or viticulture;
(3) forestry; or
(4) the raising or keeping of livestock or poultry.
