- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The board has jurisdiction over and, with the assistance of local districts, shall administer the water supply enhancement program under this chapter. This chapter does not limit the board’s authority to control, remove, or reduce brush under any program the board administers under Chapter 201.
