Terms Used In Texas Agriculture Code 60.132
- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
- Property: means real and personal property. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
Not later than the 30th day after the date on which an assessment order is issued, the district shall file a notice of the assessment in the deed records of the county in which the real property to be assessed, or on which the agricultural product to be assessed is produced, is located. The notice must:
(1) provide a description of the real property or the agricultural products that are subject to the assessment;
(2) state the name of the owner of the real property or the agricultural products subject to the assessment; and
(3) describe how to contact the district for further information about the assessment.
