- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
A consumer injured by a violation of this chapter may bring an action for recovery of damages. The damages awarded may not be less than the amount the consumer paid the person who sold the consumer goods or services through the use of the telephone solicitor, plus reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs.
